Molina Healthcare covers urgent care visits for medical problems that require prompt attention but are not life-threatening. Skipping the emergency room for minor emergencies saves you hours of waiting and protects you from unexpected, expensive hospital fees.
Our medical providers utilize on-site laboratory testing and digital X-rays to diagnose and treat a wide array of acute conditions right here in our clinic:
Illnesses & Infections: Cold and flu symptoms, severe sore throats (rapid strep tests), earaches, sinus infections, fevers, bronchitis, and urinary tract infections (UTIs).
Injuries & Sprains: Joint sprains, muscle strains, deep bruises, minor fractures, and sports injuries.
Wound Care: Minor cuts, lacerations requiring stitches, skin punctures, minor burns, and animal or insect bites.
Skin Conditions: Unexplained rashes, hives, mild allergic reactions, and minor skin abscesses.
Understanding when to choose urgent care over the emergency room ensures you get the right care quickly.
You should come to Sahara West Urgent Care for minor cuts requiring stitches, sprains, strains, minor fractures, mild asthma flares or coughs, high fevers, the flu, ear pain, and urinary tract or minor skin infections.
For life-threatening emergencies, you must go to the nearest Las Vegas emergency room. These conditions include heavy, uncontrollable bleeding, broken bones breaking through the skin, severe shortness of breath, chest pain, sudden weakness, numbness, signs of a stroke, poisoning, drug overdose, or severe head trauma.
We understand that illnesses and minor accidents don’t follow a schedule. That is why we operate on a strictly walk-in basis. You never need a prior referral from a primary care physician, and you do not need to book an appointment online to see one of our medical professionals.
To streamline your visit and minimize your waiting time, please make sure you have the following items ready for our reception team upon arrival:
Your physical or digital Molina Healthcare Member ID card.
A valid government-issued photo ID (such as a driver’s license or passport).
A complete list of any current medications, supplements, or allergies.
The required copayment designated by your specific Molina plan (we accept cash, credit cards, or debit cards).
No. Molina Healthcare does not require a prior referral from your Primary Care Provider (PCP) to visit an in-network urgent care center. You can walk straight into our clinic whenever you need immediate, non-emergency care.
Your exact copay or out-of-pocket cost depends entirely on your specific Molina plan (Medicaid vs. Marketplace). For many Nevada Medicaid and Check Up members, urgent care visits carry a $0 or nominal copay. We highly recommend checking your plan's summary of benefits or calling our office to verify your exact structure.
Yes. We provide pediatric urgent care services for minor illnesses, rashes, fevers, and school or sports injuries. If your child is covered under Molina Nevada Medicaid or Nevada Check Up, they can receive fast medical care at our walk-in facility.

An excellent resource for healthPosted on Kyle MusialTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I've been coming here for B12 shots and check ups for almost two years now. The entire staff is always so sweet and helpful, and makes my shots quick and painless. My last couple visits, I've been lucky enough to be helped by Yara at the desk. Yara always makes my trips here pleasant, and gets me in and out so fast! Grateful for Yara and the entire staff here, definitely recommend coming here, whether you need a vitamin boost, or you aren't feeling well.Posted on Erick NunezTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.
