Do you accept TRICARE for military members and their families?

Is there a flat fee for a basic walk-in consultation?

Yes, Sahara West Urgent Care proudly accepts TRICARE for active duty service members, retirees, and their dependents. We are committed to serving the military community in Las Vegas by providing accessible, high-quality medical care that aligns with TRICARE’s coverage guidelines. Whether you are stationed at Nellis Air Force Base or are a veteran living in the valley, you can receive treatment at our in-network TRICARE facility.

TRICARE coverage is available to eligible members and their families registered in the Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System (DEERS). At our clinic, we simplify the process for military families, ensuring that those protecting our country receive the medical attention they deserve without the long wait times of a base hospital or emergency room.

TRICARE Plan Options We Accept

TRICARE offers several plan types, and we work with the most common ones to ensure broad accessibility:

  • TRICARE Prime: Active duty members usually need a referral for specialty care, but Prime beneficiaries can often access urgent care with specific guidelines.

  • TRICARE Select: A self-managed, preferred provider organization (PPO) plan that allows you to visit our Las Vegas walk-in clinic without a referral.

  • TRICARE For Life: Medicare-wraparound coverage for TRICARE beneficiaries who have Medicare Part A and B.

  • TRICARE Reserve Select: A premium-based plan for qualified National Guard and Reserve members.

Urgent Care Services for Military Families

Military life is demanding, and health issues don’t always happen during base clinic hours. We provide a full suite of services for TRICARE members, including:

  • Acute Illness Care: Rapid treatment for fever, cough, flu, and infections.

  • Minor Injury Treatment: Care for sprains, strains, and minor lacerations sustained during training or daily life.

  • Diagnostic Imaging: On-site X-rays to quickly evaluate potential fractures or chest congestion.

  • Lab Services: Convenient on-site testing for strep, mono, and other common ailments.

The Verification Process: What You Need to Bring

To ensure your visit is seamlessly processed through the TRICARE West Region network, our team at Sahara West Urgent Care requires:

  • Military ID Card: Your Common Access Card (CAC) or Uniformed Services ID card.

  • Current DEERS Status: Ensure your information is up to date in the DEERS system to avoid eligibility issues.

  • Primary Care Info: While a referral may not be required for some plans, having your PCM (Primary Care Manager) information helps us coordinate your follow-up care.
