If you are suffering from persistent facial pain, pressure, or congestion, you may have a sinus infection (sinusitis). At Sahara West Urgent Care, we provide professional medical evaluation and effective treatment for sinus infections in Las Vegas with no appointment necessary.
You should visit an urgent care for a sinus infection if your symptoms last longer than 7–10 days, if they are severe, or if they “double back” (get better and then suddenly worsen).
Localized Facial Pain: Intense pressure in the forehead, cheeks, or around the eyes.
Thick Discolored Discharge: Yellow or green mucus from the nose or throat.
Persistent Fever: A fever that lasts more than 3–4 days.
Severe Headaches: Pain that does not respond to over-the-counter medication.
Reduced Sense of Smell: Significant congestion blocking your ability to breathe or smell.
At Sahara West Urgent Care, we focus on identifying whether your infection is viral or bacterial to ensure you receive the correct treatment.
Our providers perform a physical exam to check for tenderness and inflammation. Because we are a full-service urgent care, we can offer on-site diagnostic testing if your symptoms suggest a more complex respiratory issue.
Viral Sinusitis: We focus on symptom management using prescription-strength decongestants and anti-inflammatory recommendations.
Bacterial Sinusitis: If a bacterial infection is confirmed, our providers will prescribe a targeted course of antibiotics (such as Amoxicillin or Augmentin).
Symptom Relief: We may recommend saline irrigation, corticosteroid nasal sprays, or allergy management to reduce swelling.
No Appointment Needed: Walk in 7 days a week for immediate relief.
Las Vegas Local: Conveniently located at 6125 West Sahara Ave, serving the 89146, 89117, and Summerlin areas.
Affordable Care: We accept most major insurance plans and offer competitive self-pay rates for the uninsured.
Stay protected and enjoy a healthy flu season with Sahara West Urgent Care.
Most acute sinus infections last between 10 days and 4 weeks. If your symptoms persist beyond 12 weeks, it may be classified as chronic sinusitis, which requires a specialized management plan available at Sahara West Urgent Care.
Not every sinus infection requires antibiotics. Many are viral and resolve with rest and fluids. However, if your symptoms are severe or last longer than 10 days, antibiotics may be necessary to clear the bacterial infection and prevent complications.
The dry Mojave Desert climate and seasonal allergens in the Las Vegas valley can irritate nasal passages, leading to inflammation and trapped mucus, which significantly increases the risk of developing a sinus infection.

An excellent resource for healthPosted on Kyle MusialTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I've been coming here for B12 shots and check ups for almost two years now. The entire staff is always so sweet and helpful, and makes my shots quick and painless. My last couple visits, I've been lucky enough to be helped by Yara at the desk. Yara always makes my trips here pleasant, and gets me in and out so fast! Grateful for Yara and the entire staff here, definitely recommend coming here, whether you need a vitamin boost, or you aren't feeling well.Posted on Erick NunezTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.
